BoxcheckTerms of Service

The short version

Boxcheck is a free calculator. There is no account, nothing to pay for, and nothing of yours is stored on a server. The numbers it shows are estimates, not appraisals — use them as a sanity check, not as advice. Use it however you like, don’t attack it, and understand that it comes with no guarantees.

The sections below are the whole agreement between you and Mantle, who operates Boxcheck (“the Service”). Using the Service means you accept them.

Using the Service

The Service is free and open to anyone. You don’t create an account, so there’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel — closing the tab ends the relationship.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and you must not use the Service in a way that breaks the law.

The numbers are estimates

Boxcheck values a box by adding up what its contents would cost bought individually. Some item values are real shop prices; others are fitted from the prices of past boxes and are marked as estimates. Fitted values are order-of-magnitude figures — they are routinely off by a quarter or more, and they exist to tell good deals from bad ones, not to price anything precisely.

Shop prices, box contents, and currency conversions change without notice, and the Service may be out of date at any moment. Nothing here is financial advice. Decisions you make about spending money are yours.

Fair use

Don’t do any of the following:

• Attack, overload, or attempt to break into the Service or the systems it runs on.
• Automate access at a volume that degrades the Service for other people.
• Resell the Service, or present it as your own product, without permission.
• Use it to harass anyone or to do anything illegal where you are.

Access may be blocked if any of that happens, with or without notice.

Your screenshots stay yours

Screenshots you drop into the Service are read in your own browser and are never uploaded. Mantle never receives them, never stores them, and claims no rights over them.

Our content

The design, code, wording, and item data of the Service belong to Mantle, except for third-party material used under licence. You may link to the Service freely. You may not copy its design or code wholesale into your own product.

Not affiliated with Pokémon GO

Boxcheck is an unofficial fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Scopely, Niantic, Nintendo, or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and Pokémon GO are trademarks of their respective owners, and item names and artwork referenced here remain their property.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. It may be wrong, may be offline, and may be discontinued at any time without notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mantle is not liable for any loss arising out of your use of the Service — including money spent, or not spent, on the basis of what it told you.

Changes

These terms may change as the Service changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when they were last revised, and continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
