BoxcheckPrivacy Policy

The short version

Boxcheck has no accounts, no database, and no server that receives anything you type or upload. Your screenshots are read inside your own browser and never leave it. The only things kept about visitors are anonymous page-view counts and the ordinary request logs any website has.

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts, names, email addresses, or passwords.
  • No screenshots or images — they are never uploaded anywhere.
  • No boxes, prices, or results — they exist only in your browser.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers, because nothing is collected to sell.

What your browser stores

Two small preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage so the tool remembers them next time: your chosen currency and your light/dark theme. They stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies — none for analytics, none for preferences, none for advertising — which is why there is no cookie banner to dismiss. The two preferences above live in local storage instead. European rules treat any storage on your device as the same kind of thing, but a preference you set yourself is exempt from consent, so there is nothing to ask you about.

Screenshots and reading them

Screenshot reading (OCR) runs entirely in your browser. The image is never transmitted. To do the reading, your browser downloads the open-source OCR engine and its English language file from a public code CDN the first time you use the feature — that CDN sees the request for those files, in the same way it would for any script on any website, and it never sees your image.

Analytics

Boxcheck uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookie-less and does not follow visitors between websites. It records coarse, aggregate details of a visit — the page, the referring site, the country, the device type — and no identifier that persists across days.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, whose servers record standard request logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser — for a short period in order to serve the site and defend it against abuse. That is infrastructure logging, not analytics, and Mantle does not mine it.

Children

Boxcheck is not directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing from anyone. Since the site holds no personal information about any visitor, there is nothing about a child to store, use, or disclose.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, PIPEDA, and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export, or delete personal information a company holds about you. Mantle holds none about visitors to Boxcheck, so there is nothing to produce or erase. What your own browser saved is under your control and clearing site data deletes it.

Changes

If the site starts doing something new with data, this page is updated before it does, and the date at the top changes with it.
